Does someone have a solution to the glare of a window melting the siding on another house?

We think the glare from our neighbor's window is melting (causing a waving effect) on our siding. We are friends are are trying to figure out a solution to this together. Is there a window film or tint they can put on it to stop the damage? Has anyone heard of such a thing? We will obviously need to replace the siding, but want a solution first.
