How should I keep chocolate from melting?

I am going on an 8 hour flight in a couple of days and I will be bringing back quite a bit of chocolate for gifts. The problem is that I don't have a lot of room/weight left in my suitcase and I don't want the chocolate to melt. Any ideas of how I should pack it? Would it melt in the suitcase?
