Does guardianship of an adult incompetent in the state of ohio end automatically upon death of the ward?

As legal guardian of the estate of an incompetent individual, appointed five years after the will was executed, terminate his or her involvement at death to be replaced by the executor of the will? Does this happen by just advising the guardian of the death or by motion to the probate court?
