Some questions on revocable trusts.?

I am the executor of the trust my mother left when she died. Everything was left to the trust. First was wondering if I needed a tax ID number for the trust and how to go about getting one. And also for the annuity and stocks that are put into the trust how much tax should you have withheld. Thanks.
