Grandmother's will and trust?

My wife’s grandmother recently past. Last November my wife’s grandmother called her and asked her to be the executor over her estate and insurance policies if she were to die. With her lawyer my wife’s grandmother changed her will and trust indicating that my wife is executor. She signed her will but she didn’t sign the trust which indicates who’s over her estate. She had her trust notarized but she forgot to sign it. What can we do to make sure that my wife is legally over her estate.
